What is the meaning of Surah Al-Ikhlas?

Surah Al-Ikhlas is four short lines that the Prophet ﷺ said equal a third of the Qur'an. It answers the oldest question — who is God — with total clarity: One, eternal, unborn, unequalled.

“Say, "He is Allah, [who is] One, Allah, the Eternal Refuge. He neither begets nor is born, Nor is there to Him any equivalent."”— 112:1-4 (Saheeh International)
