What is the story of Prophet Nuh (Noah) in the Qur'an?

Noah (peace be upon him) called his people to Allah for nearly a thousand years, meeting mostly denial. When the command came, he built the ark and boarded in the name of Allah, and the flood took those who rejected the truth.

“And We certainly sent Noah to his people, and he remained among them a thousand years minus fifty years, and the flood seized them while they were wrongdoers.”— 29:14 (Saheeh International)
“And [Noah] said, "Embark therein; in the name of Allah is its course and its anchorage. Indeed, my Lord is Forgiving and Merciful."”— 11:41 (Saheeh International)
