For protection, the Qur'an hands you a refuge to recite: Surah Al-Falaq, seeking shelter in the Lord of the daybreak from every harm He created — the dark, the envier, and all hidden evil. It is among the most-recited protections in Islam.
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلْفَلَقِ مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَQul a'uzoo bi rabbil-falaq Min sharri ma khalaq Wa min sharri ghasiqin iza waqab“Say, "I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak From the evil of that which He created And from the evil of darkness when it settles”Qur'an 113:1-3 · Surah Al-Falaq (Saheeh International)
Surah Al-Falaq is one of the two "seeking-refuge" surahs (al-Mu'awwidhatayn) the Prophet ﷺ recited for protection from every kind of harm, seen and unseen.
Recite Al-Falaq and An-Nas morning and evening and before sleep — three times each is the taught practice.
