What is the dua for healing and a sick person?

When illness comes, the Qur'an moves your hope from the medicine to the One behind it. In the words of Prophet Ibrahim, it is Allah alone who cures — so we take the means and ask the Healer.

وَإِذَا مَرِضْتُ فَهُوَ يَشْفِينِ
Wa izaa mardtu fahuwa yashfeen
“And when I am ill, it is He who cures me”
Qur'an 26:80 · Surah Ash-Shu'araa (Saheeh International)
In context

The cited words are Ibrahim's (peace be upon him): "and when I am ill, it is He who cures me" — affirming that healing comes from Allah while we still take the means.

How to use it

Say it over yourself or someone sick, place a hand where it hurts, and pair it with the Prophet's ﷺ dua for the sick in Noor.
